With his successful recent moments in the first squad, the 18 years old Alexandro Garnacho seems to be the new Manchester United’ s “remember the name”-man.
The spaniard, who is actually an argentinian national, joined the “red devils” in October 2020 from Atletico Madrid for € 456 000. In United he used to play consecutively in the U18, U21 and U23 squads. Since this season he has been promoted to the first team squad, where he got playing time mainly in the Europa League games against Sheriff and Real Sociedad. He did even score his first senior goal against the andalucians.
His first top-notch moment was the third round EFL Cup game against Aston Villa. In the 4-2 goal galore at Old Trafford he managed to assist twice in just 28minutes playing time.
His natural position is on the left side of the pitch as a left midfielder, or as a winger in an inside forward’s role, such as Liverpool’s star Luis Diaz. He is used on the right side too, but more rarely. The 180 cm high Garnacho shows as his strengths the acceleration, pace, ball control, off the ball movement and his dribbling, which seems to be his favourite game fragment. What he still needs to work on is the composure and concentration while finishing alone the attacks.
